At the rear of The Barn, an orchard leads down to a stream. In the summer, youngsters have great fun paddling around and building dams. Early risers might see fox cubs playing in the grass, or pheasants on the lookout for breakfast. For a while, the fishpond was empty – an otter took the koi carp to feed her family and a heron visited regularly until seen off by one of our hawks. A raised patio overlooking the orchard catches the afternoon and evening sun. It’s a great place to enjoy a drink or barbecue as the day ends and the tawny owls and bats start the night shift.
Electric vehicle owners can go out for the day and re-charge when they return, ready for the next days adventure.
The charger is on a metered connection and electricity consumption billed at the suppliers standard rate.
